Final : Part 1

My interdisciplinary project went good. The people in my group were Ashley Kim, Oscar Orozco, Veronica Hernandez, and Aaron Chavarria. We did our project on asthma, and our claim was that children develop asthma more than adults do, since their immune system is weaker than adults. Each one of my group mates worked on a different section of the project, and i worked on how asthma affects local individuals. On the day of the presentation, i was pretty nervous because they had changed the information on my slide a day before, so i didn't get to memorize nothing from my slide. Over all, on the day of the presentation, my group did a good job. Even though i kind of messed up when i was explaining the graph of the survey we conducted in HPIAM. We got our grade in english class and i got a 3 so it was pretty good.

“When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad.”

Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: this quote is saying that when you do good you’ll end up feeling good about yourself. And when you do bad you end up feeling like guilty.

An example is that when you do something good like give something to your parents, you end up feeling good about yourself.

when you tell one lie it leads to another
Paul hatch
when you tell one lie, it leads to another
so you tell two lies to cover each other
then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,
You're in trouble up to your ears!
So you tell four lies to try to protect you
then you tell five lies so folks won't suspect you
then you tell six lies and you'll collect
a life filled with worries and fears
'Cause you can't remember how many lies
you've told
and half of the things you said aren't true
and sometimes you'll slip up, you'll trip up
and then
whatever will become of you?
so you lie and lie without even trying
and each lie you tell will keep multiplying
'Till the whole wide world will know that you're lying
then you'll be
suspected
detected
rejected
neglected
disliked
and you should!
when you lie, you're closing the door
on everything good
Student Success Statement

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day:
Thanksgiving Day is celebrated primarily in Canada and the United States. It's a day to give thanks for the blessings of the previous year as well as the harvest. Thanksgiving was traditionally a religious and cultural celebration, but today is celebrated by many people in Canada and the U.S. regardless of their beliefs or culture. In Canada, Thanksgiving is held on the second Monday in October while in the U.S. it is held on the fourth Thursday in November. Similar holidays exist around the world in other countries and cultures, but have different names and are held on different days. The only ones likely to not enjoy a Thanksgiving feast today would be the turkeys. Ceremonies to give thanks are common in almost all religions, especially after harvests.

"It may make a difference to all eternity whether we do right or wrong today."

this is true, because what you do right or wrong one day, it can affect us the next day, or any other day.
Veterans Day
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in the First World War, then known as “the Great War.” Commemorated as Armistice Day beginning the following year, November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United States in 1938. In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars. The day’s observation included parades and public gatherings, as well as a brief pause in business activities at 11 a.m. On November 11, 1921, an unidentified American soldier killed in the war was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C.; the U.S. Congress had declared the day a legal federal holiday in honor of all those who participated in the war.

Reflection: my feelings about Veterans Day is that we should all be thankful for all the veterans that fight for us, and that need to leave their families for a long time, and risk their lives just so they can fight for all of us.
