" The best way to predict your future is to create it."
Charles Ketterer
he is trying to say that the only way to predict your future, is by creating what you want, and the only way to create your future, is by always choosing the right.
“Bless you”

Many people have become accustomed to saying "bless you" when someone sneezes. For the most part, the various sneeze responses originated from ancient superstitions. Some people believed that a sneeze causes the soul to escape the body through the nose. Saying "bless you" would stop the devil from claiming the person's freed soul. Others believed the opposite: that evil spirits use the sneeze as an opportunity to enter a person's body. There was also the misconception that the heart momentarily stops during a sneeze, and that saying "bless you" was a way of welcoming the person back to life.

Video Notes

Rachel Castillo found a bag full of money and an id of a guy. She found $36,000. She called the police and she told them she found the money in a golf course. She gave it back because her parents taught her to not steal. She chose the right, because not a lot of people would actually return the money

Summary

Miles, the little kid, found 20$, but instead of keeping them he gave them to a solider he saw because when he was only 5 weeks old his dad died being a soldier. I think Miles did a good thing, because not anybody would give back the money, or give it away, and for a little kid to do that, that was very nice of him.

"Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for 'tis better to be alone than in bad company."
George Washington
I think it is true what George Washington said. I rather be alone than  in bad company in any moment. The bad company will only lower my self esteem.
President’s day

Presidents’ Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, it is still officially called “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government. Traditionally celebrated on February 22—Washington’s actual day of birth—the holiday became popularly known as Presidents’ Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and other figures, Presidents’ Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present. The purpose is to celebrate the American presidency and remember all those who served as President of the United States.

"In life as in football, you won't go far, unless you know where the goalposts are."

Arnold H. Glasgow

reflection: this means that you won't go far unless you know what you're goals are. If you're aiming for success, you'll get there if you know what you want to do.
History of basketball

Who invented basketball? James Naismith

Where? Springfield, Massachusetts

When? 1891

How?  Physical education instructor who invented the game of basketball in 1891 while working at the YMCA Training School

Why? James Naismith invented Basketball because they needed a sport to play indoors for the winter because it was too cold to play baseball or football outside.

What were the circumstances at the beginning?  Instead of a basketball they used a soccer ball. Instead of shooting at two hoops, the goals were a pair of peach baskets.

What was it like at the start? At the start students did seem to have much interest and they seemed to have a hard time trying to get used to the rules because most of them would just ran around with the ball.
What types of shots were taken? Modern basketball, the original rules did not include what is known today as the dribble. Since the ball could only be moved up the court via a pass early players tossed the ball over their heads as they ran up court. Also, following each "goal" a jump ball was taken in the middle of the court. Both practices are obsolete in the rules of modern basketball.

How is basketball different today than when it first started? Before was more of a finesse game, now is much more physical and grueling since the goal is to make the more easy close range shots that you can. Now the average height of the players is a minimum of 6'3 in many cases. In the past someone 6'3 was considered a big man of at least a forward. The skill level of players today is off the charts and that's the reason why I think many players are so underrated because to shine in a league today with so many talent is just too difficult as well as winning a Championship

Christian did a good thing because not all people would do such a kind thing like christian did. Also Tana did a good thing because she let Christian have the money back so he can go on the band trip.
