reflection: It's saying that you don't need to live in poverty, it's your choice whether you want to work hard and  be successful and have a good life

911 operators

Duties and responsibilities: 911 emergency dispatchers often are the first people contacted when emergency assistance is needed. They might work at call centers, police stations, fire stations or hospitals.

Salary: $55,070

Education: dispatchers work in a high-energy environment and must be able to make quick decisions while communicating with callers who are in an emergency. A high school education is usually required to become a 911 operator, and on-the-job training varies by employer


Reflection: I would like to be a 911 operator, but I don’t like the pay because they earn a little.

Ear, Nose and throat (ENT) Doctor

Duties and responsibilities: medical doctors responsible for surgical and medical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat, as well as the related head and neck areas.

Salary: $205,000 per year
Education: Bachelor of Science degree, but those with a Bachelor of Arts degree and 5 years of surgical residency

Reflection: I think I would like to be one because it doesn’t seem like a boring career.

Duties and responsibilities: are experts in food and nutrition. They advise people on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health-related goal.
Salary: $55,240

Education: bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, food service systems management, clinical nutrition, or a related area. Programs include courses in nutrition, psychology, chemistry, and biology.


Reflection: I don’t think I would be a registered dietitian because it doesn't catch my attention as a career.
